Introduction

While plenty of folks head directly to the mountains for outdoor adventure, we know more than a
few who don't have to bundle up or gear up to have a great time. If you are one of those types, then
mosey down Down Town Ruidoso and visit the shops and galleries. Or if you prefer to relax and gamble
Ruidoso offers 3 casinos. During summer time you can always come back for horse races and
Flying J Wranglers cowboy shows.

Hungry? Our restaurants serve up tasty down-home cooking, spicy New Mexican fare and elegant meals,
too. Kids from 1 to 101 will have a great time strolling around. After all that activity, sit back, relax and
enjoy the beautiful scenery in our town park.

Sundown brings everyone back to town to have dinner, swap stories, and enjoy live music.

If you are up for a drive, pack a picnic and tour New Mexico famous Billy the Kid Scenic Byway
or hike in our beautiful Lincoln National Forest. Love mountain biking, riding around in a jeep or horseback
riding ... all those trails are here in the forest and around Ruidoso to enjoy.

And you are bound to be in Ruidoso for one of our many special events.Throughout the year we
host music festivals, chili cook offs, craft fairs, car shows, parades and much more. You are
always invited to join in the fun!
